To be honest I’ve contemplated this so many times that I lost count. It is a sign of struggle. I’m not as suicidal anymore, thanks to the support of family and friends. Depending on what age you call childhood. If it’s elementary years, I read Junie B. Jones and Ramona Quimby. If it’s middle school, I loved the Box Car Children and Nancy Drew. And high school, it’d have to be both It’s Kind of a Funny Story and Sula. Actually, maybe just Sula.

The Syndrome by John Case, as well as The Stars Shine Down and Are You Afraid of the Dark? by Sidney Sheldon
